Fancy running the 2012 London Marathon?

If you were lucky enough to secure a place for the Virgin London Marathon 2012 through the ballot and are considering running for a charity, we would be delighted to welcome you to our team. The funds you raise will help us make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children across Central and Eastern Europe; enabling us to move more children out of large institutions into family-based care.

The London course spans 26.2 miles from Blackheath to The Mall, and takes in a number of iconic sights along the River Thames. Although physically demanding, the marathon attracts 30,000 runners runners of ranging abilities – from veterans to beginners – and is one of the world’s biggest running events, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity each year.

We have a small team of runners already signed up for the Virgin London Marathon 22 April 2012 and would be able to offer: access to training plans, fundraising ideas, a Lumos vest and supporter pack, and an on-the-day cheer team.

If you are interested in running for us, please email marathon@lumos.org.uk with your name and contact details by midday on Monday 30 January 2012.
